Clear terms for a privacy-first service These Terms explain the rules for using iGhost, what you can expect from the Services, and what we expect from you in return.

1. Introduction and acceptance

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of iGhost, including our website, mobile applications, exposure scans, privacy scores, monitoring features, removal-request workflows, AI-powered summaries, content, and related tools and services (collectively, the “Services”). iGhost is operated by Trust Trax Technologies, LLC, an Oregon limited liability company located in Portland, Oregon, United States. In these Terms, “iGhost,” “Trust Trax,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Trust Trax Technologies, LLC. “You” and “your” refer to the individual using the Services or, where applicable, the organization on whose behalf you are authorized to act. By creating an account or using the Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Acceptable Use Policy, each of which forms part of these Terms. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the Services. If you use iGhost for an organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms on that organization’s behalf.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding agreement to use the Services. To access certain features, you must create an account using accurate, current, and complete information. You may sign in using an email address and password or a supported third-party sign-in provider, such as Google. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that occurs through your account. Notify us promptly at contact@ighostnow.com if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization. You may not create an account using false information, impersonate another person, share your account with an unauthorized person, or create multiple accounts to evade a restriction, suspension, promotional limit, or other limitation. International Use The Services may not be available in every country or region. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Services is lawful where you access or use them. We may limit or restrict access to the Services in any location where doing so is necessary for legal, operational, security, payment, or compliance reasons.

3. Description of the Services

iGhost is a privacy platform designed to help you understand, manage, and reduce your online exposure. The Services may include:

  • A one-time complimentary exposure scan that may provide a privacy score and identify potential exposure of personal information.
  • Paid privacy features, including ongoing monitoring, data-broker or other removal-request workflows, privacy alerts, and related account-protection tools.
  • AI-powered summaries designed to help you understand information, findings, and potential privacy risks identified through the Services.
  • A business inquiry option for organizations interested in offering privacy-related Services to employees or other authorized users.

The free exposure scan is limited to one initial scan per account. It does not include ongoing monitoring, recurring scans, removal-request services, or other paid features unless we expressly state otherwise. The Services are intended for privacy, security, and personal-information management. They are not intended for surveillance, investigations, background checks, employment screening, credit decisions, insurance decisions, housing decisions, legal determinations, account access, or other decisions that could materially affect another person.

4. Your information and authority

You may submit personal information to iGhost to receive an exposure scan, monitoring, privacy alerts, or assistance with removal requests. You represent that:

  • Information you provide is accurate and relates to you, or to a person for whom you have clear permission and legal authority to act.
  • You have the right to provide information submitted through the Services.
  • You will not submit false, misleading, fraudulent, or unlawfully obtained information.
  • You will review requests and information before submitting or authorizing them through the Services.

You may use iGhost to assist a family member, client, employee, or another person only when you have their clear authorization and any legal authority required for the request. We or a third-party source may ask for additional information to verify identity, authority, or authorization before processing a request. Where iGhost prepares a removal request for your review, you remain responsible for reviewing and authorizing it before it is submitted. A prepared request is not legal advice and does not guarantee that a third party will act on it.

5. Removal requests and third-party sources

iGhost may help you identify publicly available information, monitor supported sources, and prepare removal, suppression, correction, or opt-out requests for your review and authorization. Where you authorize iGhost to submit a request on your behalf, we may transmit that request to the relevant third party. You understand and agree that:

  • Removal outcomes depend on the policies, procedures, legal obligations, and actions of third parties.
  • A third party may accept, reject, delay, limit, ignore, or require additional verification for a request.
  • Information may remain available, be partially removed, reappear, be republished, or be available from a different source after a request is submitted.
  • iGhost does not own or control third-party websites, data brokers, search engines, public records, breach/dark-web sources, or their content.
  • Information presented through the Services may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, misattributed, unavailable, or not linked to you.
  • You are responsible for confirming that a listing, source, account, or request actually relates to you or to a person you are authorized to represent.

We may decline, delay, limit, or stop processing any request we reasonably believe is inaccurate, unauthorized, abusive, fraudulent, unlawful, technically infeasible, or inconsistent with these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy.

6. AI-powered summaries

iGhost may provide AI-powered summaries or recommendations to help you understand scan results, exposure findings, monitoring alerts, or general privacy-related information. AI-generated content may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your circumstances. It is provided for general informational purposes only and is not legal, financial, cybersecurity, identity-protection, or other professional advice. You are responsible for evaluating any AI-generated information before relying on or acting upon it. Do not use AI-generated content to impersonate another person, create false requests or documents, conduct surveillance, or engage in conduct prohibited by these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy.

7. Plans, subscriptions, and payments

iGhost may offer one complimentary initial exposure scan per account. We may change, limit, suspend, or discontinue the free scan at any time, including to prevent fraud or misuse.

Paid plans may be offered on a monthly or annual basis. Plan features, availability, and prices may change. The applicable price, billing period, and included features will be shown before you complete a purchase. Unless you cancel before renewal, a paid subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period. Monthly subscriptions renew monthly and annual subscriptions renew annually.

Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers. By purchasing a paid subscription, you authorize the applicable payment provider to charge your selected payment method for the subscription price, applicable taxes, and any other charges you authorize. If you purchase a subscription through a mobile app store, your purchase, billing, cancellation, and refund rights may also be governed by that app store’s terms and policies.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation stops future renewals, and you will retain access to paid features through the end of your current billing period, unless otherwise required by applicable law. If you purchased your subscription through the iGhost website, you may cancel through your account settings or by contacting contact@ighostnow.com. If you purchased your subscription through a mobile app store, you must manage cancellation through your app-store account and its subscription-management tools. Payments are non-refundable, including for unused portions of a billing period, except where required by applicable law or the policies of the applicable app store. We may change subscription prices or plan features from time to time. If a change affects your next renewal, we will provide notice where required by applicable law. You may cancel before the new price takes effect.

8. Marketing and service communications

When you create an account, request a free scan, purchase a subscription, or otherwise provide us with your contact information, we may send you transactional and service-related communications, such as account confirmations, security notices, scan notifications, billing notices, removal-request updates, and changes to the Services. We may also send marketing communications about iGhost, paid plans, product updates, offers, and privacy-related content where permitted by applicable law. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in the message or by contacting us at contact@ighostnow.com. Opting out of marketing communications will not stop necessary service-related communications.

9. Privacy and cookies

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information. Our Cookie Policy explains our use of cookies and similar technologies and the choices available to you. By using the Services, you acknowledge that we will process your information as described in the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. Where required, we will obtain consent for nonessential cookies or similar technologies.

10. Acceptable use

Your use of the Services is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these Terms. You may use iGhost only for lawful, authorized, and privacy-protective purposes. You may not:

  • Use the Services to stalk, harass, threaten, impersonate, surveil, target, or harm another person.
  • Search for, monitor, or submit a removal request concerning another person without their authorization or another valid legal basis.
  • Use information obtained through the Services to access accounts, systems, devices, networks, or data without explicit authorization.
  • Submit false, deceptive, fraudulent, forged, abusive, or malicious removal requests or authorizations.
  • Use the Services in violation of applicable law, third-party rights, these Terms, or the Acceptable Use Policy.

11. Intellectual property

iGhost, the Services, software, designs, trademarks, logos, content, features, privacy scores, workflows, and other materials provided through the Services are owned by or licensed to Trust Trax Technologies, LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to access and use the Services for your personal use or authorized internal business use. These Terms do not transfer ownership of the Services or our intellectual property to you. You retain rights in the personal information you submit, subject to the permissions you grant us to process it as necessary to provide the Services and as described in the Privacy Policy.

12. Service changes, suspension, and termination

We may modify, update, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any part of the Services, including a feature, plan, source, removal workflow, monitoring capability, AI feature, or availability in a region. We may do so to improve the Services, maintain security, prevent fraud or abuse, comply with legal obligations, respond to third-party changes, or for other operational reasons. You may stop using the Services and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account or access to the Services if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, applicable law, or another agreement with us; created risk for iGhost, users, or third parties; or failed to pay applicable fees. Upon suspension or termination, your right to use the Services ends. Sections that by their nature should survive termination—including payment obligations, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law, and dispute resolution—will survive.

13. Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, Trust Trax Technologies, LLC disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, reliability, and security. We do not guarantee that:

  • The Services will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or available at all times.
  • Any scan, score, alert, AI summary, monitoring result, or other output will be accurate, complete, current, or suitable for your needs.
  • All information about you will be found, monitored, removed, suppressed, corrected, or kept from reappearing.
  • Any data broker, website, search engine, public-record source, or other third party will honor a request.
  • The Services will prevent identity theft, fraud, account compromise, data exposure, reputational harm, or any other loss.

iGhost does not provide legal advice. Consult a qualified professional for legal, financial, cybersecurity, or other advice specific to your circumstances.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Trust Trax Technologies, LLC and its members, managers, officers, employees, contractors, licensors, affiliates, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, business opportunities, reputation, or other intangible losses arising out of or relating to the Services or these Terms. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the Services or these Terms will not exceed the greater of:

  • The amount you paid to iGhost for the Services during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim; or
  • $100 USD.

These limits apply regardless of the legal theory of a claim and even if a remedy fails of its essential purpose. Some jurisdictions do not permit certain warranty disclaimers or liability limitations, so some of these limits may not apply to you.

15. Indemnification

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Trust Trax Technologies, LLC and its members, managers, officers, employees, contractors, licensors, affiliates, and agents from and against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from or related to:

  • Your use or misuse of the Services;
  • Your violation of these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, applicable law, or third-party rights;
  • Information, instructions, requests, or authorizations you submit through the Services; or
  • Your use of the Services in connection with another person’s information without appropriate authority.

We may assume control of the defense of a matter subject to indemnification, and you agree to cooperate with our defense.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Before either party starts formal legal action, the party with a dispute agrees to first send the other a written notice describing the dispute and the requested resolution. Notices to iGhost must be sent to contact@ighostnow.com. The parties will attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for 30 days after notice is received. If the dispute is not resolved informally, you and Trust Trax agree that any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Services will be resolved through binding individual arbitration, rather than in court, except that either party may bring an eligible individual claim in small-claims court. Arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association under its applicable consumer arbitration rules. The arbitration may be conducted by video conference, telephone, written submissions, or in person where required by the applicable rules or law. You and Trust Trax agree that claims may be brought only on an individual basis and not as a plaintiff or class member in a class, collective, consolidated, representative, or private-attorney-general action. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive or equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to address intellectual-property infringement, unauthorized access, fraud, misuse of the Services, or security-related harm.

Arbitration opt-out

You may opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days after you first accept these Terms. To opt out, email contact@ighostnow.com with the subject line “Arbitration Opt-Out” and include your full name, the email address associated with your iGhost account, and a clear statement that you wish to opt out. Opting out of arbitration does not affect any other part of these Terms. If you opt out, disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Multnomah County, Oregon, unless applicable law requires another forum. Nothing in these Terms limits consumer-protection rights that cannot lawfully be waived under the law where you live.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to iGhost, our business practices, legal requirements, or other relevant factors. If we make a material change, we will provide notice as required by applicable law, such as by posting updated Terms on our website, displaying notice through the Services, or sending an email to the address associated with your account. Unless a change is required sooner for legal, security, or operational reasons, material changes will take effect at least 30 days after notice is provided. Your continued use of the Services after updated Terms become effective means that you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Services and cancel any active subscription before the changes take effect.

18. Miscellaneous

These Terms, along with the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, and any additional terms presented for a specific feature or plan, form the entire agreement between you and Trust Trax regarding the Services. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later. You may not transfer your account or assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign these Terms as part of a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganization, or sale of assets.
