1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your browser or device when you visit a website or use an online service. They help websites remember information between page loads and sessions. We may also use similar technologies, such as local storage, software-development kits (“SDKs”), and device or session identifiers. In this Policy, we refer to all of these collectively as “cookies.”
2. How we use cookies
We use cookies only as needed to:
- Keep you signed in and maintain your session
- Protect the Services, prevent fraud, and detect abuse
- Remember settings and preferences you choose
- Process subscription purchases and help protect payment transactions
- Remember your cookie-consent choices
We do not use cookies to sell your personal information or to build profiles for cross-site behavioral advertising.
3. Cookies we use
We will update this table if our use of cookies or similar technologies materially changes.
4. Your choices
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to delete existing cookies, block future cookies, or receive an alert before a cookie is stored. You can also adjust nonessential cookie preferences through our cookie-preferences tool, where available. Blocking or deleting strictly necessary cookies may prevent some parts of iGhost from working properly, including account login, session security, payments, and saved preferences.
5. Global Privacy Control
If your browser or device sends a Global Privacy Control (“GPC”) signal, we will treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising where applicable law requires us to do so. Because iGhost does not use advertising cookies or cross-site behavioral advertising trackers at launch, we do not expect GPC to change your iGhost experience. If our practices change, we will update this Policy and our preference tools as appropriate. California recognizes GPC as a user-enabled browser setting that can communicate a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our Services, technologies, or legal obligations change. When we do, we will post the revised Policy here and update the “Last updated” date. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice where required by law.
